Hello, AND... Hare Krishna!

This is my page, about me, the fortunate disciple of His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, Sarva-drik das.

Why make a page about yourself?

You might be wondering, "Who created this site and why?" Great question! This site is not about me, as much as it is about what transformed me. It is not as much about the disciple as it is about the guru, Srila A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. So, while self-promotion isn't always celebrated in spiritual circles, I felt it was important to share a bit of my journey and the transformative effect of hearing from a maha-bhagavat devotee of the Lord, and the powerful process of Bhakti that begins with the chanting of the Lord's holy name.

I was born in 1952 to a loving family in Portland, Oregon, the first of five children. I attended the Oregon Episcopal School, and my father hoped I’d follow in his footsteps into a career in medicine. But everything changed when I stepped into one of Srila Prabhupada's Temples, which opened my eyes to the beautiful path of Krishna bhakti that profoundly transformed my life.

That was in July of 1973, and in December I formally embraced the Bhakti path, becoming the officially initiated disciple of Srila A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, and was awarded the spiritual name “Sarva-drik das,” meaning "servant of the omniscient Lord." Feeling deeply blessed with divine knowledge accumulated over so many years, I'm excited to share the invaluable wisdom I've gained. I have filled this website, as much as possible, with videos, audio recordings, and downloadable media, all designed to inspire and enlighten those who invest their time to hear.

Now, fifty-two years later since that special day of my first contact with Krishna devotees, my wife Sudevi devi dasi and I are blessed to call Sridham Mayapur, West Bengal, India, our home since 2018. India has been very good to us in every way and are glad to be living in this great country.

So really, this site's emphasis is on the incredible knowledge and insight that has shaped my life by the grace of Srila Prabhupada, and not on me. It is a humble attempt to share. I pray that you find value here, spiritual knowledge, illumination, joy, and a positive direction in life, as much as I have. Hare Krishna!

So, what do you do? How do you spend your time Sarva?

Great question! I’m happy to share that I am now enjoying an active retired life since 2009, after a successful career in the jewelry industry. These days, I’m on an exciting journey, spending time with amazing Krishna devotees everywhere, traveling to Krishna Temples and ashramas all over India, traveling to devotional communities, and avidly teaching online classes. I am truly blessed to get the company of so many great devotees and share the wisdom of Vedic understanding as I learned it from Srila Prabhupada. Below are a couple short video clips of congregational devotees in Jodhpur, and University students in Rohini enthusiastically chanting Hare Krishna, and a few photos from devotional communities I regularly visit.
